Under the Weather

Hello Everyone, I'll be completely honest with all of you. This week was hard. But before I get to why that is I'll tell you about to fun stuff. So we are going to start off on a high note then we will go a little bit lower. And then by the end we will end somewhere. Not too sure because I have not  written the end of this email yet. At the beginning of the week we were meeting with this friend of a member in the ward. The member is a Korean grandpa and has been talking religion with his friend, and told him that if he would like to learn more he would have to talk to the missionaries. That was awesome! We knew that the grandpa doesn't really speak English, and we had no idea if his friend did. The daughter in-law of the grandpa that we thought was going to be there would be able to come and translate for us. What do you do in a situation like this? Well you call some one who can speak Korean and English, no problem! Except we didn't know anyone that could...

Happy Father's Day! 👔 And Temple, And..... (June 20,2022)

Hello Everyone!!  This week has been a good one and I can't wait to tell y'all about it. But before that I have to say Happy Father's Day!  Fathers have an important role to play in everyone lives. Whether that be their own Father or someone who is a father-like figure. I know that my Father has blessed me in so many ways, and I strive to be like him a little more everyday. Something that I have learned from my Father is to look towards my Heavenly Father. And when I remembered to do that yesterday I was filled with peace and love. I can see how much God cares about me and all of you. Grateful that we have a day to feel His love. What can I say; I love it.  Having said that I guess I'll tell the story of this week backwards. On Father's day we were asked to help with the primary. Normally we don't, but we were asked to and we were able to help the kids have a great time. What we were able to help out with was allowing children to cut our ties. Yep. They only...

I am not throwing away my shot! (June 13, 2022)

Hello Everyone!  (At least everyone that reads this email)  It has been an eventful week here in Georgia. I am now in my new area the Hamilton Mill ward , and I will have to say it is the opposite of Ellijay.  If you can imagine with me for a moment I know you haven't been to either of these places, but humor me please. Ellijay one of the largest areas in the mission in Georgia, trees everywhere with very little amount of people for miles. Cities are more like towns, a place where people go to get away from other people. Now imagine Hamilton Mill, still lots of trees however it is a smaller area, berry much so. There are people everywhere, there are things, places everywhere. I live in an apartment complex behind a Costco, and down the street from The Mall of Georgia . So yeah the areas are different. I love this area and now I get to tell you why. Transfers when we get to the mission office I get to see a lot of good friends and we catch each other about what is ha...

Transfer........and Transfer again! (June 6 2022)

Hello Everyone!  It was been a wonderful week, once again it was a Rollercoaster! This time I will start from the beginning that way it all makes sense, and so I don't have to explain myself over and over again, and making this email even longer than it has to be, so yes this will be a long one and I know that.  In the beginning there was news that change the week for ever. We heard that there was a emergency transfer! Elder Moss was sadly leaving me and I would stay in Ellijay. I miss him a lot, the power of the redheads will be missed. So early morning on Tuesday we drove down into another zone that was hop skip and a jump away from where we live. We drove down and said our goodbyes, and then hello to my new Companion. His name is Elder Bevans, and he is really tall and from Canada. He is a really cool guy, and we have gotten along well this past week. I'm going to miss him too.  You might be wondering what that means, or you may have figured out what I mean. We ...

Today We Honor Them (May 30, 2022)

Good Morning! Or  Good Afternoon! Or  Good Evening! Or  Good Night,  It simple depends on when you read this and if you want to read it more than again you can know read it at any time of the day. I hope that you do read this and that you try and read it again. Who knows if it will be any good, so let's see what happened this last week.  Before we get started I just wanted to say thank you to all those that have served, and all those that know someone that gave their life to protect this nation. I am grateful that we have a day to remember them. I always like thinking about how much it means to me to live in this wonderful country. For all those that were willing to give the precious gift of life, that is so precious in this world for someone else. Today we honor them!  We start on Tuesday this time. Why? Well why not? It is the first day that came to mind. I got to go on Exchanges with one of our Zone Leaders, Elder Bennett. We had a good day w...

*INSERT TITLE HERE* (May 23, 2022)

Good Night everybody!  I thought I should say something other than hello or good morning, so I thought I would say the opposite. Don't worry I am not going to bed right now. It is still morning, I think.  Also couldn't think of a title.... Let's see if I can reach into my memory bank, and tell you all what happened this week.  Let's see here, memory 5/17/22 says that it was a good day. We had lunch with a sweet Sister in the Branch. She is awesome! We talked about how she has been inviting her friends to come to church. In the past she has told us that she hasn't been able to come to church because she takes medication that puts her to sleep but it doesn't wear off before she has to come to church. So it was unsafe for her to drive, but this Sunday we were surprised when she walked in. She was there in church! And she said that all she had to do was go to bed sooner with her medication then she could drive herself to church.  We also got to meet with Garrett a...

I have been called to serve

Hello Everybody!  I have got to get a better greeting. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. I will take the ideas and make them my own. But here is one I just thought of.  *Knock, *Knock, *Knock Hello there, we are the Missionaries from the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints. My name is Elder Robertson this is my friend Elder Moss, and we are sharing how our week went.  Man it had been quite the week. So this time I'll start from the beginning, but we will see if I go in chronological after that. Who knows? I know that I don't.  So we got together as a mission last P-day and it was awesome. We started by doing some service for the mission office and the church's property. We split of in zones to do the massive projects. My Zone got to renew the beach volleyball court. We had help from people that knew what they were doing, and they helped us how to do it. We took out the old wood boundaries and put in so new wood. We also put some new sand over...
