Happy Father's Day! 👔 And Temple, And..... (June 20,2022)

 Hello Everyone!!

This week has been a good one and I can't wait to tell y'all about it. But before that I have to say Happy Father's Day!

Fathers have an important role to play in everyone lives. Whether that be their own Father or someone who is a father-like figure. I know that my Father has blessed me in so many ways, and I strive to be like him a little more everyday. Something that I have learned from my Father is to look towards my Heavenly Father. And when I remembered to do that yesterday I was filled with peace and love. I can see how much God cares about me and all of you. Grateful that we have a day to feel His love. What can I say; I love it.

Having said that I guess I'll tell the story of this week backwards. On Father's day we were asked to help with the primary. Normally we don't, but we were asked to and we were able to help the kids have a great time. What we were able to help out with was allowing children to cut our ties. Yep. They only got to cut our ties if they were singing really well. They all had a blast, and some of them didn't even want to cut our ties because I joked that it was my favorite tie. Thankfully it wasn't, and the ties were given to us so we didn't have to use our own. They all had fun and kept to piece of the tie that they cut off. Kids are the best.

The day before last, I went on Exchanges with Elder Magnusson it Suwanee. We had a great time were I got to see a lot of art that Suwanee has because they love art and what to put it everywhere. We tried talking to a lot of people, but they didn't want to talk to us, some did though. All that talked to us were members which was cool running into so many members out in public. We then met with someone who loves to talk, and had some coins that were from 400 B.C! That was cool, and I had a great time that day.

We had our interviews with our mission President this past week, and it was awesome. I love President Harris so much, he gave some great advice and saw apart of me that most people don't because I have a hard time expressing it. But I know that He cares and takes an interest in my life to people able to see me. I also fought back the tears this time. Don't know if I talked about it but last time I meet with him I cry my eyes out.

We got to go to the Temple this week. Always love the peace and joy that comes from doing service there. I always love that it is a place of learning and I did learn while I was there. One thing I did enjoy but was pretty nervous about was driving there and back. Atlanta traffic is bad and busy all the time. I did enjoy driving regardless of how many people were on the road.

We spent a lot of time visiting members this week, and walking around neighborhoods and seeing who's door we feel impressed to knock on. Sounds like what we as missionaries normally do, but this week was a little different. Safe to say that I was hot. It was very hot to the point where everyone was surprised that we were still outside knocking on doors. Most people say that doesn't sound like fun, and that is probably true however I am weird. I loved it. I can only say that because it is the Lord’s work, and there is no other experience like it. I can't name another time when I'm going to be dressed at my best getting sweaty from walking from door to door. Plus we get to meet people that are kind and wanting to help us out by offering us a drink of water. It all becomes worth it when you are able to find the person that you are meant to find and teach.

Speaking of people to teach, everyone that we have been teaching is still out for one more week. One more to go! In the meantime we have found a couple more new people that we are able to meet with, and we have a couple more people that we are going to meet this next week. I'm excited and looking forward to the people that we are going to be able to help. I am grateful that I am able to be here in Georgia to help others, and that is because of all of you. Everyone of you has helped me in so many ways that I am able to be here and to be able to share what mean so much to me. Thank you all, and I would love to hear from all of you to know what is happening in your life. I may be a couple of states away, but I still want to see if I can help all of you as you have helped me. Love you all!

I know that there is a bright future for all of us. Our loving Heavenly Father knows how to help us and how to get us there to that bright future. Even though there is a bright future we will still go times of darkness. That is how life is, but something that is amazing is that darkness can not beat the light. Light always overpowers the darkness all we have to do is let there be light and to keep making it brighter. We do that by coming closer to God. Doing what He has asked of us then the light will chase the darkness away, and we can be brought to that Bright Future into the Bright Present. I say these things in the name of him, who is who is light of the world, in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

Hello Everyone, that may or may not have skipped to the bottom for pictures!!

Hope you have the time to look at the rest of this email, and not just the pictures. If not it is okay just know that I am sad if you don't. You don't want me to be sad do you?😁
Thanks for at least opening up the email, and if you did go the extra mile and read the mess I wrote above than thank you and hope you have a great week.

I have done better and have pictures that were taken before this morning.
