Last week in Dacula & Grayson

Image
Hello Everyone!  It has been a great week, and there is a lot for me to go over, but I'll never be able to cover it all. First things first, we got our transfer news and I'll be leaving Dacula and Grayson. I'll be headed over to Monroe , and I'm very excited. There is a family there that I already know and I'm looking forward to see them again.   Next things next, Serena (our 12 year friend) got baptized! It was a great service with wonderful support from the Ward. We did have a heart attack before it started, and that wasn't fun. 15 minutes before the Baptismal service was suppose to start, we realized that no one was there. After panicking and waiting eventually everyone showed up and we had a great service.  When she was brought out of the water she had the biggest smile on her face and was laughing. It was a wonderful time to spend with them and to see their family grow closer together.   We taught Dean how to read the Book of Mormon! (I mean He...

"I don't worry about anything anymore" February 2, 2023

Hello Everyone and happy groundhogs day!  Yes I know that was on Thursday but I'm doing the best I can. I couldn't even celebrate it watching the Bill Murray movie. But it's okay because I am a missionary and we all make sacrifices to be here.  This week was a good week with a lot of not so great news.  An update on Ray: He got got out of the ER at the beginning of the week but by the end he was again in the hospital. Please keep praying for him and Donnetta. We briefly meet with them this week and it was great to hear how their lives have changed. Donnetta is seeing things in a new light and she is loving it. Hopefully Ray will see the changes and the blessing when his health improves. It has been wonderful experience seeing the members reaching out in love and taking care of them because they love them. Ray and Donnetta are apart of the Grayson Ward family.  We also went by Dean and Marsha and had a wonderful time reviewing the Baptismal questions apart...

Blessed be the name of the most high God!  This week was absolutely amazing! Lots of things to write about but never enough time. I have already spent too much time on this introduction. Lets begin!  I'm not going in order this week, in fact I will be very much out over order. I'll start by talking about the Comers. (Ray&Donnetta)  We met with them quite a few times to finish the lessons they needed for baptism, and because we love them so much we would simply read out of the Book of Mormon with them. I have loved getting to know them, and being with them for their journey that has lead to more joy in their lives. It was amazing, every part of it.  We also were able to celebrate Elder Wallgren's birthday with them. (Pictures are below)   Eventually the day of their Baptism came, and it was perfect! We had many members there to greet and welcome them. Every members that had come to the lesson before were there and so many more. I could see them be...

Hey Y'all,  This was another great week. Sometimes it feels that so much happens in one week that it must have been longer than a week. That or I'm loosing track of time already.   Let's start off are the best parts of the week! The couple that we have been teaching passed their Baptismal interview and are going to be baptized THIS SATURDAY! It was wonderful and I'm so excited for them. One of greatest feelings is seeing them becoming apart of the ward. It gives me a comfort to know that they will be just fine when I eventually go to another area. Having members be their friends is so important!  We taught our 12 year old friend three times thus week. We had to finish teaching her the commandments by the end of this week so we had quick lessons with her. Something that was amazing is that we had a lesson right after youth night, and because we did it then she had all the friends she has made in young women's, and the leaders were there. So we just taught ...

Hello Everyone!  It has been another good week! And I'm glad I get to tell y'all about it, but first let me explain the title.  For whatever reason we have a lot of ladybugs in our apartment. I have no idea why, and every time we put one outside or get rid of one, there are four more still in the apartment. While we are in our apartment the ladybugs will just spend their time flying into all of the ceiling lights. I don't understand it, I thought only moths did that. If anyone can tell why that is or any other fun facts about ladybugs, I would love to hear from you. Now on with the show.  So last P-day we had another Zone Olympics, and I'm glad to tell all of you that my team won, and the grand prize was a bag of candy! It was a fun time with the rest of the Zone.   The next day we once again were at the food drive. And y'all already know how much in enjoyed that. So I don't want to bore you by saying the same things over and over again. But I w...

Hello Everyone,   It has been an exciting and fun week. As always there was a lot of running around and have spiritual experiences all along the way.  It has been a little weird adjusting back to a duo, but it has been great. You will notice that is quiet when there is one less person to talk to.  Anyways,  We have had wonderful opportunity for service, and I'm grateful that we have some more coming up this week!  Wednesday day had a lot of service. You can bet by the end of it we were tired, but it's the good tired cause you know you worked hard. We helped someone move a lot of their stuff into a U-Haul, and because it was only the two of us, we had a lot of work to do. We had help from a member, but eventually he had to go. So it was just Elder Wallgren and myself to load everything up. It felt great by the end but I had no strength and we had to end to our dinner even though there was a lot to do. We called a bunch of members to see if they c...
