The best Year, going for one more! January 9, 2023

 Hello Everyone,

It has been an exciting and fun week. As always there was a lot of running around and have spiritual experiences all along the way.

It has been a little weird adjusting back to a duo, but it has been great. You will notice that is quiet when there is one less person to talk to.
Anyways,
We have had wonderful opportunity for service, and I'm grateful that we have some more coming up this week!

Wednesday day had a lot of service. You can bet by the end of it we were tired, but it's the good tired cause you know you worked hard. We helped someone move a lot of their stuff into a U-Haul, and because it was only the two of us, we had a lot of work to do. We had help from a member, but eventually he had to go. So it was just Elder Wallgren and myself to load everything up. It felt great by the end but I had no strength and we had to end to our dinner even though there was a lot to do. We called a bunch of members to see if they could help that night and thankfully they were able to. After we had dinner with a awesome family we headed to the other ward to help someone move into a new home. I hope now you can see why I was so tired by the end of the day.

I almost forgot about transfers!
Let's go back to the day before Wednesday. That would be Tuesday, in case anyone forgot. It was great seeing all the other missionaries, and as I got out of the car I see someone who isn't dressed as a missionary. It was Elder (Eric) Riddle! My trainer, who finished his mission almost 6 months ago. It was great seeing that lovely man, and catching up for a bit. Sometimes I wish he was still in the mission, but he needs to go to school and start having a life, or something like that. I also got to see Elder Moss! It has been a while since I have seen him and it was great having another redhead from Colorado in the mission!

We have had a lot more lessons this past week and it has been a blessing. Teaching is one of my favorite parts about being a missionary. Especially when you can see the hearts of the people changing. This past week we met with Ray & Denetta twice to teach about the Commandments. We taught about the Word of Wisdom the Law of Chastity, and Tithing. We were scared about the word of wisdom at first, but we just kept going and taught it on Monday night. They basically told us that they have no problem with that and we're ready to follow the law. It was a great experience, and it has been the same for everything else that we have taught them. They are progressing so well and I can't wait for the end of the month when they get baptized!

Though we had great moments this week we also had a scary one. We called our recent Converts and we heard from his daughter that he was in the hospital and that they had rushed him in a Ambulance. We were worried because of how old he is, and we didn't know how he was doing. The next day after getting the phone call, we were able to go to the hospital and give him a blessing. We when go to see him, he was in high spirits. Smiling and talking more than I had ever since him talk. He told us how he knew how we would come because God told Him that his servants would come. We gave him a blessing and continued to talk to him. When we asked what else we could do for him he told us to pray for him, and that he knows that prayer works.

I too know that prayer works! For the prayers that get a simple answers. To the ones that make us seek for them. I have been trying to pray with all energy of heart and when I do I feel more peace. Prayer is how the restoration started, and it is how I can communicate to my Father. I love that we can pray when ever and where ever, but the most meaningful is when we are on our knees. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

Also I guess I hit a year Tomorrow are something like that. Anyways love y'all! And have a wonderful week!
