My soul has been Stirred ❤️ January 23, 2023

 Hey Y'all,

This was another great week. Sometimes it feels that so much happens in one week that it must have been longer than a week. That or I'm loosing track of time already.

Let's start off are the best parts of the week! The couple that we have been teaching passed their Baptismal interview and are going to be baptized THIS SATURDAY! It was wonderful and I'm so excited for them. One of greatest feelings is seeing them becoming apart of the ward. It gives me a comfort to know that they will be just fine when I eventually go to another area. Having members be their friends is so important!

We taught our 12 year old friend three times thus week. We had to finish teaching her the commandments by the end of this week so we had quick lessons with her. Something that was amazing is that we had a lesson right after youth night, and because we did it then she had all the friends she has made in young women's, and the leaders were there. So we just taught everyone there the commandments. It's was great seeing the support that she has. We asked if she knew when her baptismal date was, and she told us with a smile on her face, "February 4th!" It made me so happy that she knew when it was and that she happy about it. The youth there pulled out their phones and marked the date.

We also had Zone Conference this week, and we learned about how important members are through the stories in the Book of Mormon. Always have members involved in the worked because they make the difference. My favorite is when the hearts of the Nephites were changed. Before they said that the sons of Mosiah would have no success teaching the Lamanites. After many thousands of Lamanites converted to the Gospel and called themselves Anti-Nephi-Lehites. They were being killed by the Lamanites because of their belief in God. And in this moment of need the hearts the Nephites were changed and they said to the people of Anti-Nephi-Lehi,

"22 And it came to pass that the voice of the people came, saying: Behold, we will give up the land of Jershon...

...and this land Jershon is the land which we will give unto our brethren for an inheritance.

23 And behold, we will set our armies between the land Jershon and the land Nephi, that we may protect our brethren in the land Jershon; and this we do for our brethren..." (Alma 27)

The Nephites were willing to lay down their lives for them and would defend their brethren. This is the some love we have to have for our Brethren, especially those who have recently joined the church.

There was also a quote that I loved and was the theme for the Zone Conference.
"Make no small plans, for they have no power to sir the souls of Men!"
I love this and it feels that my soul was stirred. President Harris then told us about a goal that they wanted to set as a mission and didn't want us to be scared. As soon as he said that knew what the goal was. As a mission we have the goal to have 100 Baptisms in the month of April! I'm excited and want to give it my all and I will do my best so I can.

I love reading the Book of Mormon, it has the power to change people lives. I know that it has changed mine. I feel the spirit teach me the things that I need to learn and to do to be more like Christ. Open it and read it, allow it to change you, and then allow it to change someone else by sharing it. It truly teaches and testifies of Jesus Christ. I know that He lives and loves you! I say these things in his loving name, even Jesus Christ Amen.

Sorry no pictures this week. Still love y'all, just know I still look the exact same as I did last week. Have a great week. But here is a picture of my dog Groot.
