Hello Everyone,  Thus the week passed away in peace and righteousness.  We had a great week of finding people to teach, teaching, and meetings. Lots of meetings. Allow me to break it down for you. We had our District Council on Thursday. And then on Friday we had Zone Conference, and then after that we had the adult session of stake conference, and then the next morning we had the general stake conference.  So if you couldn't tell there was a lot of driving this week, but I didn't have to do it all. Elder Nehorai got his driving privileges. That meant I haven't driven since Friday! Don't get the wrong impression, I love to drive but it is nice to have a break.   I am amazed with the joy that I feel anytime I have an opportunity to teach someone about hope and they accept that hope. As I have shared hope, I have been hopeful.  We did a variety of finding this week. We talked to everyone we saw, we called people to see if they would like to meet a...

A trio of Blessings

Image
Hello Everyone,  This has been a great week. So much has happened and we have seen many blessings. I hope I can to y'all about all the blessings.   The most surprising blessings was when we got a call from our Mission President Wednesday morning. He told us that we are getting a new companion! So we had the APs drop off Elder Neal the next day. I'm glad to have Elder Neal join our companionship, and I know we will work hard.  This week we had the blessing of going to the temple with our friend Diane. It was her first time to the temple, and it was a spiritual uplifting experience for us all. She was able to take her parents names to the Temple for Baptism & confirmation. It was great being back in the water. It has been a while since I have been able to do Baptisms in the temple. Diane was brought to the point of tears because of the joy she felt as her parents were baptized.  It was also wonderful because Elder Nehorai brought the name that surp...

My Name is Elder Robertson from the Georgia Atlanta North Mission, and you're reading my email!   At least I hope you're reading my email. Yes I know I just sent one out on Thursday, and that it hasn't been a full week yet. I don't make the rules here I just write on P-day, and it just happens to be P-day again.  This week, or rather these past few days have been good. After P-day our friend Maggie took us to Longhorn. As I said in my last email it was good. We shared a message with her while we were there, and then we met with her again yesterday to have lunch and message. She has great faith and trust in the Lord.  District Council was good. The District mainly stayed the same. Part of me feels that transfers didn't happen. After C DC we went to Buc-ees for lunch. Yes we went to a gas station to lunch.  We had an amazing lesson with our friend Mandy. We have been trying to meet with her since we got here. We have been so close to meeting with her on m...

Long time no Read August 10, 2023

Hello Everyone,  Long time no see, and still there is no seeing of me but at least you can read of me.  Feels like there has been a lot that has happened since I wrote one of these. Hope I can remember everything that I wanted to tell y'all about.  Before I forget let me tell you about Maggie and Wilmer (The friends in the picture of my last weekly). Wilmer is a returning member and Maggie is his wife, and that is all that you need to know, but because I know y'all want to know more I will write more. We have been trying to meet with them ever since we got here. They have been very busy and we haven't been able to talk to them, until they came to the Ward BBQ a couple weeks ago. We played Volleyball with them and later met with them and shared a message. Maggie speaks English, and Wilmer can barley speak English, but that doesn't stop us from loving them. I'm grateful for their faith and their desire to grow that faith. They are going to take us out to dinner toni...

Hello Everybody,  I hope y'all have had a great week. We certainly did. I hope to be able to tell y'all about it.  One of the biggest miracles I saw this week was with our friend Amy. We taught her at the beginning of the week and we had a great lesson about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I felt that it was something that she needed, and I know that it helped. When we met with her at the end of the week she told us how she has been thinking a lot about the things that we have taught her. She told us that that she has been very happy this week. Happier than she has been in a long time. I was so filled with joy to her that she was happier.  We taught her some of the Plan of Salvation and she told us that it was perfect timing for her. It was a wonderful lesson filled with the Spirit, which was needed because we taught her the Word of Wisdom. At the end of the lesson she gave us a trash bag with her coffee, tea, and vape. I'm glad that she has been striving to keep ...

Diane's Baptism, and Lessons! July 24, 2023

Dear Everyone,  I hope that y'all have had a great week because I haven't.  Just kidding, it was a great week and I'm so happy to tell y'all about it.  First thing is First, let me tell you about Diane. She was baptized this past week and it was amazing. We spent a lot of time making sure everything was prepared and that she was ready. We met with her everyday. I'm very grateful that it all worked out in the end because when I look back I see the hand of the Lord helping us and Diane. We couldn't have done it without His help. After she was confirmed a member she bore her testimony to the whole ward from the pulpit. I felt that her testimony about how the Gospel has helped her be happy, was helpful for another one of our friends who wants the same thing. Our other friend was there, and heard Diane's testimony about the Gospel. I love Diane and the blessings that come to all of us as we make and keep Covenants.  Now let me tell you of our friend Amy. We hav...

Miracles and Joy in Georgia July 17, 2023

Good Morning,  At least I hope I can get this out in the morning. Right now I am trying to listen to a talk by President Gordon B Hinckley. We will see how well my mind works while multi-tasking. There may or may not be parts of his talk here and there in this email.  "Now, my brothers and sisters, we live with an interesting phenomenon. A soloist sings the same song again and again. An orchestra repeats the same music. But a speaker is expected to come up with something new every time he speaks. I am going to break that tradition this morning and repeat in a measure what I have said on another occasion."  This had been a wonderful week. One way that I know it was a great week is because of how tired I felt yesterday. I know that we worked hard this week. That hard work felt wonderful.  We had a three lessons with our Friend Diane, who is going to be baptized this Saturday! I am so excited for her. She has a strong testimony on the Restoration of the Gospel. A...
