Miracles and Joy in Georgia July 17, 2023

 Good Morning, 

At least I hope I can get this out in the morning. Right now I am trying to listen to a talk by President Gordon B Hinckley. We will see how well my mind works while multi-tasking. There may or may not be parts of his talk here and there in this email. 

"Now, my brothers and sisters, we live with an interesting phenomenon. A soloist sings the same song again and again. An orchestra repeats the same music. But a speaker is expected to come up with something new every time he speaks. I am going to break that tradition this morning and repeat in a measure what I have said on another occasion." 

This had been a wonderful week. One way that I know it was a great week is because of how tired I felt yesterday. I know that we worked hard this week. That hard work felt wonderful. 

We had a three lessons with our Friend Diane, who is going to be baptized this Saturday! I am so excited for her. She has a strong testimony on the Restoration of the Gospel. As we have taught her this week she has shared how she has been seeking the truth for a long time. She has felt that somethings were missing in her life, and as we have shared these things she has found those things that were missing in her life. I am very grateful for members that have become food friends with Diane. Please be praying for her this week.  

We have meet and talked to a lot of people this week. I have felt that I have been doing better at talking to anyone that I see. I'm still not perfect at it but I have been filled with joy as I have done the Lord's work. 

One person that surprised me was a man named Tony. We talked to him a little bit on his front lawn. He was nice and said that we could come back. So we came back. I thought that he wasn't going to be there because he never texted us back, but to my surprise the door opened with Tony in the door way. He welcomed us in and we had a lesson with him and his wife. As we taught the restoration they agreed with was taught. When we taught them of the Book of Mormon we read some verses in 3 Nephi. Tony's wife immediately said that she felt the spirit as we read The Book of Mormon. They are wonderful people and I pray they will act on what they have felt.  

I'm starting to get better at being a District Leader, and I am loving it. Often this past week I have reflected and saw that without the hand of the lord I could not be doing what I have done. He has helped me every step of the way. I have grown so much on the mission, and I will be grateful for that truth forever.  

Words cannot begin to describe the miracles and the joy I have experienced here in Georgia. The fact of me being in Georgia is joy and a miracle. I have felt the power that comes through the messages we share because it is of God. I have seen the message bring joy to many. I know that as people come unto Christ that their lives we be richly blessed. I have a firm testimony of that. I know that the promises of God are true and that God never breaks a promise. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
