Good Morning,  And in case I don't see ya;  Good Afternoon, and  Good Night I hope everyone had a great week, and that you all are doing well. This week was a blast; so much happening and so much fun. I hope that I can do it justice and remember all that happened.  Starting off last week was transfers. I didn't move and neither did my companion, but our whole zone changed. Our district changed as well. Our Zone leaders who are in are district both moved. One went home and the other became the Assistant to the President of our mission(or AP). The other Elders in our district are training a new missionary, so they are now in a trio. Our new Zone leaders are awesome and one of them was the AP before this transfer. I haven't met all the new people in the Zone, but I'm pretty sure that just about everyone is training a new missionary.  We had an amazing experience on Tuesday because we were in the right place at the right time. We were going about our normal m...

Hello there,  "Ah General Kenobi"  I hope that everyone thought of that quote as I said Hello there. If you did most impressive, if not then I find your lack of Star Wars knowledge disturbing.  Now with all the star wars out of the way, it's not) This week was great even though it was hard, and looking back I know that it was a good week even when it was tough. Thank you all for your support and for your prayers.  Let's see if I can remember this week. It feels like it all blends into one day. On Monday we got together with our Zone for our P-day, and played some kick ball. Now this is where the fun begins. It was a good time especially since the Zone leaders are leaving this transfer. One is becoming AP (Assistant to the Mission President),and the other is going home. I'm going to miss both of them.  We once again had an amazing lesson with the Hobbs Family, and we were able set a date for their Baptism. YAY! I love the energy the family has, especially ...

Chickens puppies and Emu

Hello there!  This week has been quite the Rollercoaster. The good thing is with the ups it helps make the downs better. Without the bad how do I know the good? The love of Jesus Christ helps me to get out of the bad so I can enjoy the good and help others to do the same.  Up  We had an awesome p-day(preparation day for preparation and a bit of fun), last week were we went on a hike through a park. It was beautiful, and peaceful. While on the hike we found a couple of sticks and obviously we used them as lightsabers. Then we played to game that Joseph Smith played. Where to two sit on the ground putting their feet together and then hold the stick in the middle with their arms. Then they try pulling the other over to them. It was fun, and two elders ended breaking the stick. It was a long awesome hike where we crossed on a bridge that was made by an eagle scout. Fun memories, but makes me glad for all that helped me to become an Eagle Scout.   Up  Lo...

The Fall of Winter

Dear everyone,   I think I have said this every email, but I'm going to say it again. It is crazy of how much time goes by so quickly. I'm pretty sure that Georgia lives in another world were time goes at a faster rate.  This week was awesome for many reasons. One of the reasons is because we did a lot of service this week. The week before I said that I hadn't done any service, so now God has given me no room to say that again. On Wednesday we helped our dear friend Rebecca move, and that took most of the day. It has been a while since I helped someone move. The last people I help move was my parents. Brought back some good memories. After that, we headed to the church to help a sister clean it. We did that for a couple more hours, and then we headed over to dinner with a member and his wife. And what was awesome was that this member had come with us that morning to teach our friend. Then he came with us to help Rebecca move, and then we finished the day with havin...

A month away from home

Image
Hello Everyone,  Once more time has gone by faster than I thought. I can't believe that a month ago I hopped on a plane to head to Salt Lake City to begin my MTC experience. Now I'm no longer in the the MTC but it still feels like it was yesterday. This whole experience has just begun and I'm enjoying a lot of it.  This week was a blast. On Tuesday I went on Exchanges ( which means I got to go spend the day with a different missionary who is not my companion) and this experience was full of fun running around and spiritual moments. We started that day by trying to stop by to see a person who we had set up a lesson with. Unfortunately they never answered the door and we hadn't gotten her contact information. So we just started going around the neighborhood knocking on doors. We did find someone else who was interested, so we said that we would be back at a time that works better with them. After we went around the neighborhood we went to go help move a safe for a member...

Another week in Georgia Valentines edition

Hey everyone,  I can't believe that this time is going by so quickly. It still feels like yesterday I was leaving the MTC, but that was two weeks ago. We have been running around a lot this past week. Something that I'm quickly figuring out is that dogs are so friendly here; mostly. Most of the time dogs will come out running just to say HI, and get some scratches. Most dogs in Ellijay just run around with no fence and no leash. I've seen more wild dogs than I have ever seen, and they are all so cute. The other day we were driving and we saw a whole family of dogs with little puppies. I love them all. We spend time driving because most people live far away from others which means I get to enjoy the beauty that Georgia has to offer. Also I completely forgot to talk about my trainer. His name is Elder Riddle and the craziest thing is that when we first met we found out that we are both from Colorado!!! And not just in the same state, we are only about 30 minutes away from t...
