HARK, ALL YE NATIONS Verse 3,4!

Image
Hello Everyone!  It has been a great week with some of my favorite experiences on the mission, but before I tell you that I would like to address the title above.  Some of you may be saying to yourself there is no 4 verse to the Hymn HARK, all ye Nations. You know what I say to that is that your right, at least for now. The Church is coming out with new copies of the Hymn books. When? You ask, I don't know I'm not the church, but I do know that the old 3rd verse of the Hymn above will become the 4th verse and we will get a new 3rd verse. Know you ask, how do I know this? Elder Renlund told our mission. Which leads me to tell you about my week.  This was a secret that I have kept for a while. Elder Renlund one of the 12 Apostles, visited our mission and we were able to have a meeting with him. It was amazing! We got to shake his hand. Our mission got one big picture with everyone it it.  As great as those moments were, the best part is when he started to...

It's a short one! September 12, 2022

Hello Everyone!  First off. Sorry it is so late. I have a perfectly good excuse. I was busy with some fun stuff. What was I doing you might ask? Y'all will find out in 3 or more weeks. Don't let me forget.  Let see what did happen this week. We had a our interviews with President, and that was amazing as always. Thus time they felt far too short. I felt like I had a million more questions to ask him. I just wish I could talk to him all day but neither one of us have the time for that. We had a great conversation with him, and I learned a little bit more about his testimony and how he describes. I can't quite explain it. But it is great.  We had a lot more member meals this week which was great, and we even had two dinner where we got stake. Love a good stake. Love being able to talk to members they are some wonderful people here. I have said it before and you will hear me say it again.   We have been working with some members to share the Gospel with thei...

Hello All ye fair people,  (That is all of you by the way! )   Let me see what happened this past week. Well for starters, I got my new Companion! His name is Elder Ericksen, and he originally from Alaska! He is a great Missionary and a very smart guy.  Moving on to the week we had! Honestly I don't think we had too many things happen this week. We spent a lot of time trying to get in contact with our friends. That was crazy because we spent a lot of time texting people, and then we spent even more time stopping by hoping that we can catch them at the right time. For a few we were blessed with God's timing and stopped by at the right time to talk to them. For one of our friends we were able to teach her on her doorstep about the Plan of Salvation. It was a good lesson.  Late one night we were going about our missionary  work, we go up the stairs and there are two people coming down the other stairs and they start to talk to us about their Bible study ...

Three Elders, Three Areas, one week! August 29, 2022

Image
Hello Everyone!  I know y'all are wanting to know what happened this past week. It was a crazy one. So we got the call last P-day night of what would happen when Elder Cameron went home. I Combined with the other Elders in my district and we covered both areas. Also they were already covering two Wards, so when you throw me into the mix we end up covering 3 areas. So the craziest begins!  So we started off the week trying to figure out how to cover all three areas, and we find out that the ZL's wanted to do Exchanges that same day. So we just figured it out as we went along doing the work if the Lord. I'm having a hard time remembering what we did thus week because how crazy it was.  With all the craziest we meet a lot of wonderful people to teach. That is something that I felt that I have gotten better at doing is finding people to teach by the spirit and be more confident. That is something that I have been trying to do better at and I think that I have. Thi...

Hear ye hear ye!  We will now commence the Email of the Red Rascal Robertson Elder.  This week was fast and I can't believe it is already over. This week was Elder Cameron's last on the mission. He will be headed home on Wednesday after serving faithful for two years. And I still don't know who my next companion is going to be. I guess we will find out on Tuesday, or I will and then I'll let y'all know next week.  So let's see here, what happed this last week. Well for starters, after I emailed y'all that week we played a game of P.I.G. (you know the basketball one) and anyone who knows me knows I'm not the best at sports, but I did make a perfect hook shot from the three point line. Going on my list for things I didn't expect on the mission. That was great, almost made we want to learn how to do basketball.  Moving on to the good stuff. We had exchanges on Tuesday and I joined up with Elder Magnusson in my area. We had a good time and were able to...

The Great Adventure of "There and back again"! August 15, 2022

Hello there!  I'm not sure why but I think this week was opposite from last week. What I mean by that is last week I said that the beginning of the week was good and the end of the week was hard. But this week I feel like the beginning on this week was hard and the end of the week was good. Hopefully there will be a nice full week coming up.   I'm also not sure what happened this week. It all seems to one day so we will see if I can remember or if I have to look back in my journal for hints.  More service! This week we had a two more opportunities do to service. One we were expecting to help someone move, but when we got there they said all we had to help out with was the mattress. That was good. Then we also helped out the neighbor of a member. We just went to go and help her clean up her garage. That was fun and next week we are going back to help with the other side. I have always loved doing service because I love to see when people can work together to hav...
