2 bashes 1 night September 5, 2022

 Hello All ye fair people, 

(That is all of you by the way! )  

Let me see what happened this past week. Well for starters, I got my new Companion! His name is Elder Ericksen, and he originally from Alaska! He is a great Missionary and a very smart guy. 

Moving on to the week we had! Honestly I don't think we had too many things happen this week. We spent a lot of time trying to get in contact with our friends. That was crazy because we spent a lot of time texting people, and then we spent even more time stopping by hoping that we can catch them at the right time. For a few we were blessed with God's timing and stopped by at the right time to talk to them. For one of our friends we were able to teach her on her doorstep about the Plan of Salvation. It was a good lesson. 

Late one night we were going about our missionary  work, we go up the stairs and there are two people coming down the other stairs and they start to talk to us about their Bible study and about Heavenly Mother. They were friendly and we start to share about the Plan of salvation with them, and they keep cutting me off and throwing Bible verses at us, and share their doctrine, which was wrong and was sad. I remembered testifying of the truth and the hope that God gave us in His plan for us. In the moment of testifying I felt the spirit and I found a deeper love for God's plan. After that we said we had to go and left. Later that same night we were walking when someone yelled "Hey Mormons!" He told us to come to his door, so we did and he was just a basher. Basically did our best to testify and answer his questions and then we left. Never a great feeling being bashed but I still loved the feeling the spirit when I needed it. 

On Sunday- was a great day. We sat by a member, and after that sacrament was passed he asked if he went up would we go with him. We said that we would. So we headed up and then I notice that there were a lot of people headed up as well. It was great hearing everyone testimonies. After Wards we stopped by some members including the member who asked us to go up with him. We shared a video about Easter because why not. Actually because I liked how it was focused on Jesus Christ. We shared it with him and I looked at him. He was in tears. And then he said, "That Video came out in 2014, we I served my mission. I shared it with a lot of people, and it means a lot to me then, and means a lot to me now." We had a great discussion after that with him. I am always amazed how God can give what people need when they need it. Even when I have no clue that he needed it.  

Sorry for the shorter weekly. Also I just picked up a Frisbee, which I haven't done in months, and then I threw it for the first time. Across the Gym and makes it in the hoop. And this time people saw it. Good times 

I know that there is peace in this life because of Him who came to live for us all. Jesus Christ! He lives! I know! And because he lives we all will live again, and will have joy. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
