On the Road the Winder 🦅🛻 November 27, 2023

Hello all ye people of the Land,

This last week was great. Before I get into the spiritual learning and the run down of my week, I would like to tell a story.

This story takes place on Saturday while we were on exchanges, that is how you know it is going to be a good story. We just finished teaching our friend who I on date. And we're on our way to a baptism for one of the other Elders. On the road to Winder I saw something that I will never forget. I was driving the truck when I saw a hawk. This hawk caught my eye because it flying close to road. In fact it was flying so close that while we were going 60 per hour we hit the hawk with our windshield. It was loud and cracked our windshield. Not to mention it broke our rear view mirror. Thankfully we stayed on the road and are safe. Sadly the hawk was not. We are going to get our windshield fixed soon, but until then we are using duck tape to hold up the mirror.

With that out of the way we can move on to the spiritual part of thus email.

Before we killed the hawk we had a great lesson with our friend Tammy. The Sisters have been teaching her for a while but because she is in our area we are teaching her now. If that doesn't make too much sense know its a long story and I don't feel like telling it. She is an amazing person who loves the Lord. I am amazed with her testimony of how much the Gospel can help us when we are going through trials. I love being able to teach her, and I am excited for these next few weeks as we prepare for her Baptism. Please pray for her to have strength to do the Lord's will.

We experienced some wonderful Miracles that might be small to others but that are big to us. One of the biggest challenges we have had in this area is being in contact with recent Converts. This week we were able to get in contact with some of these new members. For Bernell we were able to go by twice the week and do service for him. Pull some weeds, a tree or two. There was one plant (I can't remember it's name) that he wanted to trim it down. After we did we offered to dig up all the roots so it doesn't grow back. It took and axe and three shovels but we were able to get the roots out. Like a true southerner we put it all into a massive burn pile.

As you know Thursday was Thanksgiving. It was great! I still can't believe that it has already passed. Even though the holiday is gone I know the Spirit of the holiday has not left. The attitude of gratitude will always here. Especially in the Gospel. I have been changed by gratitude, I try to count my blessings one by one but I always don't have enough time. I will just have to be constant in expressing my gratitude. Thank God that we can to so in prayer.

I am grateful for the time we have to remember Jesus Christ. Those times of peace and Reverence helps us grow closer to God. Through the temple, the Sacrament and prayer we can feel peace and be still. As we do so I know that we will that He is God. I love my Heavenly Father, and the relationship I have built out here. I had no idea I would grow this much in Georgia, but I do know I we eternally be grateful towards God and my Parents. I know that peace come through the Prince of Peace, even Jesus Christ. I say these things in his name, Amen.
