Merry Christmas! December 4, 2023

 Feliz Navidad!

Yes I am in the Christmas spirit, and yes this was a great week. Now let us jump into it.

One of the things that got me in the Christmas Spirit was the Christmas Music. Who isn't affected by this Jolly Music? Answer, no one. I have been exposed to the music because we are practicing for our performance on Saturday. I don't know how we got roped into singing at our Christmas party, but I am glad that we did. We have been practicing a lost carol called, "The Innkeeper".  (Iam assuming this is the song he is talking about)
If you have never heard of it before than you are in the same boat as myself.

We have practice it twice this week and I felt like I was back in the band room learning how play a song. I was joyful after our first practice. I felt the spirit as we sang about the Baby Boy that came to save us all! Please pray that I don't mess up a wonderful experience for others. (I'm not that confident in my ability to sing very low) I will say our companionship is singing very well.

In the beginning of the week there was a miracle. And the Miracles was great and very unexpected. We were on our way to a lesson. A lesson frankly I thought wasn't going to happen. The first Miracle is that the lesson did happen and there were three extra people there. They loved us teaching about the Book of Mormon, as one was leaving I stared to talked to her to see if she would be back. I asked for her name, and it sounded familiar. I gave her my name and she said that my name sounded familiar, which never happens. Turns out she made an online referral while she was living in Monroe. At the time she did that I was serving in Monroe and talked to her over the phone but never met her in person. Fast forward six months, and I finally get to meet her in person. That was a surprise but a welcomed one.

While partaking of the sacrament this week I had a thought cross my mind. I say that one of the sacrament cups was half full of water. I thought about the classic views on the class being half full or half empty. The thought came to me the the glass is full. The glass is full of water and air, the glass is full. This new view is how I see things now, and that is because of the mission. I am a lot more optimistic, but I am seeing things through God's eyes. Looking this way has brought me joy because we can only see this way as we look to Jesus Christ and he will show us that the glass is full. Our lives are full. This life is fulfilling. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

Also President Judd came to our DC and it was great! Have great week! Love y'all
