I'm Grateful for the Mission Tour November 20, 2023
Hello Y'all,
The week was great. We shall see if I can remember why it is great, but regardless I know that it was great. I hope I can remember so I can tell you, then your week will be great. At least I hope that will happen.
Let me start with the biggest thing first. We had another Mission Tour! It was wonderful for so many reasons. The Missionaries-wonderful. The music-wonderful. The Spirit-wonderful. Elder Schmidt-wonderful. Elder Schmidt was the one who gave the talk about the different names of Christ in General Conference last year.
There were many things that I loved about his message and the messages from President Judd. I hope I can remember what they talked about because it was impactful. Now then, after reviewing my notes. I loved learning about how the Lord is working ahead of us. He is already preparing people to receive the gospel. If we simply look up we shall see that the field is white and ready to harvest. Knowing that The Lord is preparing things before we get to work. This truly is His work.
We also talked a lot about member work. And because of that I have focusing on hyping up the members about Missionary work. During our member meals we have been planning out how we can talk about the Gospel and missionary work during the meal. It has been wonderful because I have become more purposeful during the meals. I am no longer there for food, I am there for missionary work.
After we had our normal mission tour we got to be in a special meeting with Elder Schmidt because I am District Leader. It was great because we talked how we can be great leaders. It was also great because I got to ask Elder Schmidt a question to pick his brain. I wanted to know which name of Christ is his favorite. He gave me an answer that I don't like but does make since. He said he doesn't have a favorite. At first I was sad because I thought he wasn't going to share what he has learned, but then he expounded. I loved how he shared personal experiences of being able to see Christ in everyday life by recognizing things that point to Christ. An example he gave was when he was hiking and saw the light of the Moon and remembered how Jesus Christ is the Light of the world. There was more to it than that but I don't remember all of his story.
I have once again been thinking about Joy. I think I have mentally skipped Thanksgiving because I have Joy to the world stuck in my head. I am so excited for Christmas because of the joyful time. This time is still a joyful season with a focus on gratitude. I am grateful for each and everyone of Y'all. I know that y'all don't have to read these crazy, confusing emails. I am grateful for your efforts to read these emails. I am also grateful for the primary in my home ward. I got your letters, and I really appreciated it!
I have to start this week of thanks giving by expressing gratitude for my Savior Jesus Christ. I know I have grown closer to Him. I know Him better. I am grateful for His Atonement and that I can remember Him every Sunday. Sacrament has become more special day. It is my holy day. P-day is not where I get my strength, the Sabbath is where I get strength to go another week. Because I am increasing my covenantal relationship with Christ. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
