3 Stockings & 3 Missionaries. For now...

 Greetings weary Travelers, 

I see ye have stumbled across this email again. You have no idea what is in store for you, and neither do I. Let's go on this adventure one more time.  

This was another wonderful week. The Christmas Spirit was felt. The ward Christmas party was on Saturday, and I'm still recovering from it. The party was wonderful, and there were a a lot of highlights. We had a lot of people come. From the ward members, our friends, and some recent Converts. The gym was so packed that we had to grab more tables and chairs for everyone. We didn't even sit down because we were running around helping and talking. And eating can't forget that part. 

They did a great job focusing on the central message of Christ's birth. It was so fun being able to sing with the Elders. I have the message written on my heart. I will find a way, make Him room, let Him in!  

We had a wonderful lesson this week with one of our recent Converts and his family. The Mother was asking a lot of questions last time we were there and when we gave her answers they weren't good enough for her. So we had her send us her questions and we came prepared to answer them with scriptures. We weren't going to leave until she was satisfied with the truth and understood the truth. So we went in armed the sword of truth (The Word of God (the scriptures)). We spirit was strong, and their was a reverence in the home that hasn't been there in the past. All us did wonderfully, especially my Companions, at teaching and testifying. The family was very receptive, and it helped us see that this family has more potential.  

Also quick side note. At the the beginning of the week we had no stockings. By the the end of the week we each had three stockings. Also another side note. At the Christmas party a member gifted me a leather cover for a Book of Mormon! I love it and I love that wonderful member.  

This transfer has gone by quickly. How do I know that? -you might ask. Well we had 5 week follow on Friday. It was great but it was also going to 5 week follow up two transfers in a row. It is always a good reminder of our Missionary purpose and our role as trainers. I love being able to train, but I am sad to say goodbye to my Companion. No I don't know transfer news, but we got word that Elder Christensen got his Visa and will be leaving us at the end of this transfer. They grow up so fast. I'm proud of him and he is ready to leave the nest of Georgia.  

We did a deeper dive into the Book of Mormon this week for our Doctrinal maps. I loved learning more about it and I am grateful for the power that is in that Book. It has cha get my life and I have seen it change others. The Book of Mormon Testify of Jesus Christ and because it does, we can grow closer to God by abiding by it's precepts than by any other Book. It is true! I have read it and applied those teaching, and I am happier for it. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

Also I found the Picture of me shaking Elder Kearon's hand a year ago. Little did I know that he would be the next Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ. I support him and look forward to hearing from him again.
