Let the Holy Spirit Guide April 17, 2023

 Hello Everyone,

This week was good, and I still can't remember what happened so we will see how this email goes.

Let's start with Saturday because why not. We had a member ask us to come by and give a blessing to a family member of his who has been having some health problems. We went over to talked with him and then gave him a blessing. I remember feeling prompted to talk to him more about his faith. We talked to him more about his faith and inviting him to act more in faith. Later we heard that he was feeling better.

We were about to leave this members home but they told us that their neighbor (Shayla) wanted to talk to us and would be there soon. We have been meeting with Shayla recently and shared a copy of the Book of Mormon with her and her husband. She came and we were having a great conversation getting to know her more. Once again I felt prompted to speak up and talk about the Gospel. I shared the first thing that came to mind, the Easter message from the Prophet. We felt the spirit and had a great conversation of what we had talked about before, and then invited her to come to church. And she came!

Church was a wonderful time because Shayla came and loved it, and the members were very friendly, and it was fasting testimony week which was amazing. The good news doesn't stop there. We had one of our other friends come to church as well and she loved it too! We were able to get her a wheelchair so she could move around easier. This was an amazing Sunday because we have been trying to have both of these friends come to church for a long time. I'm glad that the good news doesn't stop there because we had a surprise from a member.

When we got to church we found out that a family in the ward was having a baptism for their daughter who just turned eight years old. These are great opportunities to have friends come and feel the spirit, and we normally invite a lot of people to come to Baptisms. We could not do that for this one because we found out that it was happening right after church. So we had no time to invite our friends, but Shayla was able to stay after church and come to the Baptism. Miracles do happen, and we were able to share a quick message with everyone there. Now I could go on about how great Sunday was, but I still have to cover the rest of my week.

We once again had our Bible study with our Friends and it was amazing. We were able to hear what our Friend (Michelle) was experiencing. She opened up about how she received an answer from God that brought her comfort. She also said that she believes in the message that we have shared about the Plan of Salvation. She is awesome and I'm grateful that the Gospel is bringing her comfort in her life.

Before I forget, we had Zone Conference this week. We talked a lot about The Holy spirit, and learned a lot. What stood out to me is how I need to be better at acting on my promptings from the Holy Ghost regardless of the outcome. I have felt more joy when I simply act of the thought and feeling that come to me. I have felt the peace that comes from God. Another thing that I learned is to trust in God's promises. When God promised that I would always have His spirit to be with me, so long as I am worthy, then I do have that constant companion of the Holy Ghost with me. And that I shouldn't doubt if the Spirit is with me because that is lacking faith in God's promises. I want to be filled with faith so I will Trust God, and the promises He has made with me.

I know that we all need to the comfort that the Holy Ghost brings into our lives. I have felt peace as I have read the scriptures and know that Jesus is the Christ. I know through the confirmation of the Holy Spirit that the Book of Mormon is true and that God loves me. I am now starting to see how I can recognize the spirit in different ways. This has helped me to eliminate some of my fears, and put my trust in God. I know that God will never break His promises and that I can trust Him, and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
