Hay there! May 1, 2023
Hello Everyone!
It has been another great week. It seemed like everyday I was telling my companion how fast this week is going by. And now I am here writing this email. Even though I did last week.
Majority of this past week was running around to the appointments we set up. As every missionary know that means that most of them fell through, but we still had a great time. The people we were able to meet with, we had good conversations with them.
We started off our week by getting together as a Zone to play some basketball and some glow in the dark volleyball ball. Both were a fun time but let's just say that not much was actually glowing during the volleyball game. We did turn off all the lights and turned on a spot light that gave us just enough light to see the ball headed toward us.
The next day we had a quick service of laying down some hay for a member. At first I didn't know the best way to go about it, but then we quickly found out that throwing it was the best way to spread it everywhere. It was a lot of fun, and we were able to help out a family that has helped us so much.
From that point to the end of the week we were busy bee's.
Something that I tried to be better at is being calm and friendly when people were telling us how we are wrong. I don't like contention, and anytime someone tries to destroy my faith, I try to be the most Christ like I can be. He is the answer when contention arises. Charity (The pure the of Jesus Christ) is the antidote to venomous hate and contention. In the end we laugh when we run into those situations because it make life better, and it helps us not hold any grudges.
We talked a lot about Temples and I love it because it reminds me of my own Covenants. It also make me glad when I hear that others are excited about Temples too!
One night we had a lesson with one of friends and the lesson was fantastic. They loved learning about the pre-earth life. It was something that really touched them in their hearts. After the lesson the member drove our friends home and talked to them. Afterwards the member called us to let us know that our friend was asking about what she needs to do to be baptized. We were so excited and we are following to spirit to see how we can best help our friends be apart of Christ Restored church!
I love the blessing that come from making and keeping covenant with God. They help bring peace and strength into our lives. I have noticed that peace and strength in my life and I know that the Lord lifts our Burdens and I am grateful for that truth. God has helped me and so many of His children and it is because He want to. He loves us and I know that is true. I saw these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
