The Holy Place, and the Holy Time February 27, 2023
Hello Everyone!
Once again it has been a crazy week and this next week it will be even crazier.
I guess this week I'll start at the beginning of the week instead of going out of order. That way everyone can follow along, and I can make more sense. (Although I still won't make a whole lot of sense because I'm me)
Last week we had a Zone p-day, and we played a lot of volleyball and all the usual stuff. Then some how we had a game of catch turn into a competition of who could through the Frisbee in the basketball hoop. That was fun and I'm glad that we got so many Elders involved as time passed.
Before we had our Zone meeting we had a gotten a call from a member. When we answered all we heard was silence. Then we heard some faint yelling. We asked what was going on but we heard nothing. So we called her husband to find out what was going on. She was having some night terrors in her sleep, so we went over that night to give her a blessing. It was hard to hear that someone I love was going through something terrible. For a while we listened then we testified for the love and power of Christ. I also was able to tell her about the dream I had of the Savior. Then we gave her a blessing and she was able to sleep well that night. The thing that amazes me was that she doesn't know how she called us. Her phone wasn't near her and she was asleep. And yet the phone call went through and by the grace of God we were made aware that we needed to be with them.
We spent a lot of this week visiting less active members and getting to know them. That has probably been my favorite it Building relationships and doing we can help come closer to Christ.
We also we able to find more people to start teaching and I loved how it feels when someone says that we can come back and teach more. We were just walking down the the street when we saw this lady mowing her lawn. So we offered to help, and she was so grateful that were kind to her. We talk to her as a simple conversation then we were able to teach about what we do as missionaries and we taught about the Book of Mormon. It was an amazing experience and we she said we could come back. I love being a missionary, what can I say.
This Sunday we had Stake conference, and it was amazing. I learned so much and felt the spirit strongly. We had amazing talks from members of the YSA branch, and the Stake President. President Harris also spoke for a brief moment and in that moment I also cried. Then we heard from Elder Kyle S. McKay of the Seventy, which I loved. He talked for about an hour and it was too short. He talked about a lot of things and it was amazing and powerful. Something he talked talked about how the Temple is the Holy place and the Sabbath is the Holy time. He made a great point on how you wouldn't be on your phone in the Temple then why are you on you phone during the sacrament. The the Holy time as you would the Holy place.
I love what I have learned this week. I am looking forward to what I'll learn this week.
This life is the time for us to learn and to grown and I'm so grateful that we are taught by by the ultimate teacher. I love this life and is because of my Savior even Jesus Christ. In his sacred name Amen.
