"Get the Chicken of the table he's still eating" March 20, 2023
Hello Everyone,
I hope that this one makes up for last week's. Just know I am writing this a whole lot sooner. We'll see if it is actually good.
1.)This week was crazy fun,
2.)This week was overwhelming,
3.)This week was hard,
4.)This week was amazing,
1-4 all apply to the week that I have, and I couldn't decide how to start this weekly. Y'all get to decide instead.
I don't even know where to begin, I barely know what it happening in my area. I went on not one but two exchanges. Both times were out of my area. I had a fun time on exchanges and it had been a while since I have been on one. On both exchanges I learned how I could do better at being more energetic as I do the Lord's work when I don't feel as motivated. I'm doing okay at it, but I need to Elevate!
The times that I was on exchanges we would be going none stop between friends and members talking to everyone along the way. I love talking to everyone and meeting people that are friendly. Even if they aren't interested in learning more, but we still have a good conversation. While on exchanges we taught a 10 year kid who is getting baptized soon. This kid has so much faith and knows the Gospel. He reminds me why Christ reminds tells us to like a little child. We all have a lot to learn from little children. They can teach us so much of life even though their lives on earth have only just begun.
We have been working very hard on getting a FHE or Bible Study started, and these last two weeks we have had great turns out from friends we have been teaching. This past week we have 8 people, that we invited, come. It was filled with the spirit and I'm glad that others felt so as well. When friends come you feel amazing and simply happy to see them there.
We had a blessing of teaching our Friend Michelle several times this week. And I am seeing a difference in her life. She has been reading the Book of Mormon more, and Praying. Because she had done this she is happier and is smiling more. I see and know that she loves Jesus, and I do too because He is changing her heart. Michelle wasn't able to come to church, but she still wanted to see us on Sunday. I don't know how this came about, but we had a surprise for us on Sunday. We went over to a member house for a quick message and when we walked in Michelle was there with smile on her face. There was a smile on my face as well. So we had a surprise lesson with her and time to fellowship with her as well.
I want to write so much more, but I can't. The hardest part of my week was seeing someone I consider to be family go through a faith crisis. This is someone that I have spent a lot of time with as a missionary. I'm glad that I was hear to bear my testimony and help as much as I can. The beautiful part of the story is that it is on the up. This person's faith is being built up again, and I'm so grateful that I was here at this point in time because I know that this is where God needs me to be.
I know the joy that come because of our faith. I have felt it through my faith. I have acted to know of the truth and now I know that my soul is filled with joy. When we seek truth we find it, and our faith grows. Faith is how I walk because it is the only safe way of walking in this life. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
Have a great week Y'all, and thanks for all those that have written me. Both emails and paper. I do my best to read them all. Also thank you to my home ward and the letters from kids that I have gotten. I was filled with happiness when I read all of them and saw their great art skills.
