Merry Christmas!! December 26, 2022
Merry Christmas!
I know I'm a day let but that is the best I can do while I'm on a mission. Also I'm going to be still Celebrating Christ till the day that I die, but even then I'll still be Celebrating in the spirit world.
This was a good week and I'm still trying to remember what in the world happened this week. I know that we got a lot of Desserts and treats and cookies. I don't think I'll finish them all for the next month.
Let's start off at the Beginning of the week. We had our Mission Gathering on Tuesday. That was a lot of fun and we got to see a lot of other Missionaries. Time passes so fast here in the Mission. We started off by doing some service. We wrote a letter to every member that has been baptized in the past year. I was so happy they did that because I was able to write all the people that my trainer and I helped baptize. From that point we had a Christmas Devotional where I could feel the spirit strongly especially when they played the Christ Child video in the chapel. To end off our time there we had a relay race between all the Zones. Three people needed to dress up and then two of them would drag Santa across the gym floor on a tarp. So two as Reindeer and one as Santa. I got to be Santa and before I knew it the Reindeer had pulled me across the gym.
Wednesday happened
We tried stopping by members but most weren't home. So yeah...
Thursday was a good day we were doing a lot of "paperwork". Yes even as a missionary I still have to do paperwork. It was good I liked it and we still have a lot to do. The sad part about Thursday was we had two Lessons canceled that day, but the good thing about that was that we were able to help someone else out. A family in the ward called us and asked if we could help move some furniture for them. It was the only day that could do it because the next day they were going to be out of state. I'm grateful that we were able to help out, and it was in time for the season.
It has been cold these past few days and I'm loving it. When the weather feels like -8 you know that it is time to go back inside.
Christmas Eve and Christmas day were great, but instead of telling what I got as physical gifts I'll tell you what I got from God. This transfer I have been trying to see how I can develop Charity. And I have been having a hard time finding a good way to go about that. This past week God has given me more direction in how I can improve. It has been well and I know I have a long way to go. God has also given me a lot of perspective on life and how I need to be doing more.
Sorry if y'all were hoping for a longer email, but I'll make it up to you sometime.
I know that Christ is the meaning on this season. And the reason we do all that we do is because of Christ. With Christ at the center of our lives the joy we have felt this month can exist more every month. Just because the world stops Celebrating Christmas doesn't mean that we stop. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
Love Y'all
