This is the 192th weekly email! October 3, 2022

 Hello Everyone!

Confession this is not the 192th email of mine, but it was a cool title.

This week has been great, I loved General Conference and I hope that you guys got something out of it.

Having General conference already mentioned I guess I'll start by telling about that. For the first session of General Conference, we got the district together at the church and watched it together. Then we went to go do some finding afterwards, and then back to Conference. On the Mission, General Conference is a Holiday, and like all Holiday it goes by too quickly. For the Sunday morning session we went over to the mission home to have brunch with President, and Sister Harris. It was wonderful spending time with them and another district as we ate and talked. And then we watch conference with them, which is on a higher level than food, and socializing. I remember feeling the spirit strongly as I focused in on what speakers were talking about.

After General conference I looked back on what I had learned and noticed. I learned a lot, but something that stood out to me about this time was how often topic of love came up. Another thing that I loved is that most, if not all the speakers quoted President Nelson or used him as an example. I love that we have a Prophet on the Earth today and how he gives so much to the lord. President Nelson has taught me a lot. Ever since he became president I have increased my knowledge and love for the Temple.  I love hearing the new Temples as they are announced. This time I caught hold on the fact that The Lord was increasing the amount of Temples of the Earth. I always thought that it was President Nelson, but now I know that it is the Lord's will that there be Temples of the earth.

This past transfer the work in this area has felt hard and it has been harder to find new people to teach. This past week didn't feel the same way. We went on Exchanges early in the week and things has been different.

On the day of the Exchanges I stayed in my area, and Elder Horn and one of his comps joined me. While Elder Ericksen went into their area with their other comp. We focused on how we were going to find friends for the day. We made a plan of where our path was going to be, so He could put people in our path. We started to stop by some people, and as we did that we just talked to everyone that we saw. Some said that we could come back other said no, but we were having a great time.

As we started to head to the next person I ended making a turn too soon, according to Google Maps. I started to think that I ended up on the wrong road, but then another thought came into my mind, "This was the right road." We knew we were meant to be on that road, so we started to look for people. Shortly after we saw an older couple by their truck laying down some mulch. We quickly, but safely, pulled over. Immediately jumped out of the car and asked if we could help. At first I thought they would say no but they said yes. We helped move the bag where they need to go, and just started to talk to them. We told them about our purpose and taught about the restoration. They loved it and said they would read the Book of Mormon and that we could come back. It was great, and as we are continuing to drive, we noticed a house that belongs to a member. We stopped by and said hi, and to tell them about the miracle that happed in their neighborhood, and they already knew the people that we taught. It blows my mind every time.

We met a couple of other people that we could come back, so they next day we came back to visit one of our friends. We knocked and his sister opens the door and says he isn't home but then was excited when we told her that we were missionaries. She then asked us if we were inspired to come here, and I told her that we were inspired of the Holy Ghost to come to this area, and talk to her brother yesterday, and to come back today. She was so happy because she has been praying to God for someone to come and talk to her brother. It was only in that moment that I knew how inspired we truly were and now we know one of the reasons.

This week has been pretty great, and I wish I could tell you all of it, but I don't know how much more my thumbs can type. I also don't want to make this toooo long and put you guys to sleep.

As I reflect on all that has happened in between the two General conferences on my mission. I think about all that I have learned, all that has happened, all the ways have grown. And in this moment I know that there is peace in Jesus Christ, I know that now more than ever. He truly is the answer to everything. I have read in the Scriptures to find Him, and as I have done that I have found Him. He is my Friend, He is my Eldest Brother, He is my Savior, He is my Redeemer, and I know that He is yours as well. Please search for Him, and I know that you will Find Him. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
