I Know that My Redeemer Lives!

 Hello Everyone!

What a week it has been. You would think that the fun would run out, but it never does. The biggest highlight was definitely Easter! There was so that happened and I don't have enough time to say everything. So I'll focus on the highlights.

Easter was not just on Sunday, for me it has been this entire week! So I will be starting there for this week.

Our entire mission area has been working with the Wards that we are serving in to invite 125 people to Easter. It was a special time to invite all to come to Christ. My companion and I wanted to go all in on Easter, so we went to work. We invited every single member of our branch to invite 2 people. If everyone did we would pass our goal of 125. When ever we got the chance we would invite the members and ask who they planned on inviting. It was amazing seeing them get behind this because everyone was thinking of a friend that they could have come. We also told the youth that I they had invited a friend by Wednesday they would get a candy bar. Some invited people and when we gave them the candy the rest of the youth were thinking of people they too could invite. The youth leaders were saying that they were talking about it all night.

Still Easter talk it is going to be a long one today. We had made and printed our own Fliers they we gave to Branch to give to their friends. We heard a lot of cool stories of people inviting their friends. We were also doing a lot of inviting we talked to just about everyone one that we knew, and a couple people that we didn't know at all. My favorite part is when we went to the Scenic overlook and called as many members as we could that haven't been to church in awhile. It was a beautiful view that always takes my breath away. (Don't worry I got pictures) We also texted every single member that hasn't been to church in awhile. We got through all that we had numbers for. By the end we invited about 150 members. We even heard from one that they were already planning on coming and were bringing a friend. So happy and exciting!

HE HAS RISEN!
Easter was an amazing day. The entire day I was filled with the spirit. I started off my day earlier than most. 5am bright and early it felt good to get up before anyone else. I did I have reason for it too besides my own excitement. We had a Devotional for the mission where we shared our experiences about growing our connection to our Savior and what comfort we have in know what he has done for us. I truly left with a greater understanding that I have ever had about Easter. Before I only  knew it for a time of candy and Christ. But I know it is so much more than that. I know that in  coming day sadness will die, In a coming day illness will die, war will die pain will die. All that is evil and hard about this life will die. In a coming day death will die. I know this because He lives and He has walked to path that leads to everlasting happiness, and He has asked that we walk this path too.

When we got to church we saw so many people come in that I didn't know, and we asked some of the members and they didn't know either. I was filled with joy seeing people come. I was able to be apart of the choir which was huge for this Branch because they haven't met since 2019. We were also asked to help the primary kids with their song. They handed us piece a paper with all the words on it, and I realized that I have never herd this song before and I didn't know the tune or how the song went. I loved being able to sing. Strongly with the choir, and singing to support the primary, but not over powering them. I loved hearing the testimony and talks from two people that were speaking for the first time. One was Cliff Hobbs who was baptized about a month ago. They all focused on the Savior and His Atonement. I feel that I know what it means to learn of the spirit. Sacrament meeting is where I come to learn and grow and I feel that I do because I have put in the effort.

Waffle King. I'm going to tell the world about it right now!
So I got to go to this go to place called was and they served waffles. And they were great! I made sure to watch their technique. If your confused... listen to Weird AL, or ask my family.

We had the chance to teach Wayne again. ( I think that I have talked about him before, it is hard to keep track some times) the lesson went well with him asking questions and us answering but also teaching. Afterwards we got to see the amazing view that is in his backyard. Best back yard view ever. We also had FHE and we had a big Easter egg hunt. There was a family there with little kids who joined us. They did not speak any English but they still had a fun time. Even if they did not hear the lesson of Christ.

This week has been full of Joy and I know it is because I was focused on my Savior who is Jesus Christ. He has conquered all that is wrong and evil. He rose from the dead in a perfect and glorified state. This is beautiful for many reasons. One that has touched me is know that we will again and never know pain or sadness. There is joy when we know our Savior. I have strengthened my testimony and my knowledge in Jesus Christ. I say these thing in the name of He who lives, the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

The pictures that have been promised.
